Charlotte Scaddan
Charlotte Scaddan is Senior Adviser on Information Integrity in United Nations Global Communications. She leads work to strengthen the information ecosystem through implementing the UN Global Principles for Information Integrity and related policy, advocating for action to make digital and offline information spaces safer and more humane while vigorously protecting human rights. Her team tracks and advises on policy and crafts strategies to effectively research, analyze and mitigate risks in the information environment affecting UN mandates and thematic priorities.
She previously headed UN social media, providing support to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and held various strategic communications roles at the UN.
Charlotte holds a degree in History from University College London and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the City University of New York. She is a co-author of “Personality, Political Leadership, and Decision Making: A Global Perspective”.
